"Attending Dialogo made my first trip to Brazil an amazing experience. By the time I left I felt as if I was part of an international community. While in Brazil, I had the misfortune of injuring myself and was required to wear a cast and use crutches for over a week. The staff was kind enough to switch my classroom from the second floor to the first floor to accommodate me. Furthermore, the instructors were extremely professional and used class both to teach Portuguese and immerse students in Bahian culture. During the three weeks I attended Dialogo my Portuguese improved exponentially. I also made friendships at the school that I will keep long after my stay in Brazil. I would highly recommend Dialogo!"

"During my stay in Salvador last year, I had the pleasure of attending Diálogo and was very impressed with the friendly and highly knowledgeable staff. Each instructor has their own unique method of imparting their knowledge. Utilizing traditional classes combined with various interactive exercises made learning portuguese quite enjoyable. The guided tours of Salvador brought the afro-brazilian culture to life. The dance classes covered a vast array of dance styles. I would not hesitate in recommending Diálogo. Diálogo is more than a language school, it is an experience to be experienced."

"As a couple coming to study at Diálogo with a young child (1 1/2 years), we had a lot of details to work out. The staff helped us find a family that was happy to have a toddler live with them for a few weeks and a day care provider for him while we were in class. With their help, we had a fantastic experience! Thank you, Diálogo!"

"The four weeks that I studied Portuguese at Diálogo were undoubtedly one of the highlights of my South American Oddysey in 2005. I had a fantastic experience at Diálogo, where I was surrounded by a wounderful group of new friends from all over the world. I really enjoyed my Portuguese classes which integrated grammar with oral conversation, music and creative games designed to enhance our vocabulary. Finally, it was exciting to study Portuguese in a city that is as culturally rich as Salvador and it was great to reconnect with various aspects of my Yoruba heritage."

"Diálogo has been an excellent experience for me. The school is very organized and the teachers are great. They really care about the students and they make sure that learning Portuguese is fun. The lesson book is very helpful and the homework assignments keep the students in track. Diálogo makes sure that learning Portuguese is never boring! We listened to Brazilian music, watched a short film, cooked and ate breakfast together, and more, all while learning Portuguese! In addition, I participated in the samba class which was not only well taught, but really fun! And what a workout too!
I would recommend Diálogo to any person who wants to learn Portuguese in a safe, clean and organized manner, while meeting people from all over the world. I only took two weeks of language lessons and I wish I could have done more. I´m confident that Diálogo is an excellent stop on the way to Portuguese fluency!"

I had one-to-one lessons everyday over a period of four weeks. The tutors (I had two over the period) were extremely professional and worked hard to make the classes relevant to both my learning needs and interests. They used a good range of media and, as imtly, put a lot of themselves into the classes. Almost as important as the lessons, my home-stay family made a huge difference to my day-to-day Portuguese. They made every effort to chat with me and introduce me to different aspects of life in Brazil.
All in all, a hugely rewarding experience!
